This song was written many years ago but it is very relevant today. As we endure hardship through the pandemic at times we may not feel like praying, fasting, being kind to our neighbor, going to church, or walking uprightly.

Because of this some may become discouraged and say it doesn't matter what we do during this time and succumb to the pressure around them. Some may turn to the bottle, to weed, or to an endless stream of one night stands.

But this should not be for those of us who name the name of Jesus. Followers of Jesus must CHOOSE to die to the flesh daily. They must choose to do what is right no matter how they feel or how difficult things may become.
